After Hours - Gun and Cash Bash
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation presents the Paducah Gun and Cash Bash to Celebrate Conservation, Raise Funding for Wildlife.
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is excited to host “a good time for a great cause” with an evening of fun and fundraising to benefit elk and other wildlife. The 1st annual Paducah, KY fundraiser event is scheduled for January 18th at the Paducah - McCracken County Convention & Expo Center. Activities will raise funds to benefit RMEF’s conservation mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage.
RMEF maintains that Hunting Is Conservation, and hunting is a major revenue driver for America’s conservation efforts both locally and coast-to-coast. Funds generated in the last year from hunting licenses and fees, excise taxes and donations to wildlife conservation groups like RMEF amounted to more than $2 billion! That money goes on the ground to benefit our wildlife and our wild places.
The evening begins with a cocktail social at 7:00 p.m. and hors d'oeuvres at 7:30 p.m., followed by drawings for firearms, cash, and more.
“The bottom line is RMEF events are a good time for a great cause because the money generated goes back on the ground to fund conservation and hunting heritage outreach projects right here in Kentucky. The funds we generate also help elk herds, and wildlife habitat as well as conservation and hunting heritage projects all across elk country,” said Aaron Powell, RMEF regional director.
Since 1984, RMEF and its partners completed more than 12,000 conservation and hunting heritage projects that protected or enhanced more than 7.5 million acres of habitat for elk and other wildlife. RMEF also opened or improved access to more than 1.2 million acres of public land for Americans to hunt, fish, hike and use for other forms of recreation. Additionally, RMEF assisted to successfully restore to their historic range in Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Virginia, West Virginia and Ontario, Canada.
Tickets are $25 per person.
